  1. My parents – I thought it would be easy, do what they did that I agreed with and don’t do what they did that I don’t agree with.

    Nursing school. I read the Psychosexual development of children for fun. I loved the subject. It didn’t mean I could overcome my own hangups and do it however.

    TA for parents. A lot of practical help came form here.

    Personal Development classes helped a lot but by this time there were grandchildren.

  2. my mistakes and my faith/intuition… when I make mistakes is when I find the real tools that work! And if I get out of my own head for a second and stop thinking, and tap into the situation or the child’s true need, that is when I learn the most!
